What the app stores

The StudyNest app keeps its data on your phone. This includes the pages you scan, your notebooks, subjects, quiz and flashcard results, study planner entries, credits and the parent PIN (stored only as a scrambled value, never as plain text).

Parents and students can also enter a name, class, school, email address and phone number. These stay on the phone. We do not send them anywhere at present.

When a page goes to the AI

A page is sent to Google Gemini only when you ask Nesto to read, study, summarise or answer questions about it. Nothing is sent just because you scanned it. The AI answers are generated from the page you chose.

Children

A parent creates each child's space and decides what is stored in it. Children use their space through the parent's account, and the parent PIN keeps the parent area separate. Parents can remove a child and everything stored for that child at any time.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, show advertising, or share your notebooks with other people.

Deleting your data

“Delete everything” in the app removes all StudyNest data from your phone. Your paper notebooks are not affected. Account deletion from inside the app will be added together with sign-in.
